Instructions for Use:

The MUFLA VIPI STG was developed for the polymerization process of acrylic resins, in the conventional and microwave techniques.

In spite that the internal walls of MUFLA VIPI STG are ultra-polished, we suggest the application of petroleum jelly in paste for a better
deflasking;
Apply petroleum jelly in paste at the borders of the muffle before pressing of the resin.

thus avoiding possible excesses impregnated in the muffle.

For the preparation of the Base, proceed in the following manner:

Position the deflasking disc at the opening of the Base;

Pour the plaster on the base of the MUFLA VIPI STG;

Position the mold at the center of the base and complete with plaster up to the limit of the border of the Base.

Observation: Do not leave plaster residue at the border of the Muffle.

After setting of the plaster, insulate it as in the conventional technique.

We recommend, in this phase, the application of the silicon wall [LABOR MASS]for obtainment of better results and greater ease in deflasking.

To pour the plaster complement, proceed in the following manner:

Position the Counter Muffle and tighten the 4 screws of the set.

Prepare a more fluid plaster mass, pouring it through the larger opening of the Counter Muffle.

ACRYLATION: Prepare the acrylic resin, in accordance with the manufacturer’s orientations, considering the technique used (conventional or microwave).

transporting it inwards the Muffle and place a plastic separating sheet on the resin.

Close the MUFLA VIPI STG and take to the press, performing a pressing test.

Open the Muffle, trim the excess, insulate the model, making sure that there is no plaster or resin residue on the borders of the Muffle and openings of the fittings.

Close again with the plastic separating sheet and perform the definitive pressing.

After the final pressing (1000 Kgf), and still under pressure install the screws until their washers lie on the muffle’s surface, and the Allen key that goes with the product.

perform only a quarter (1/4) of a turn after the screw washer leans flat.

Recommendations: For the microwave technique we recommend the use of the oven with rotating plate.

Regardless of the technique used, we recommend the cooling of the Mufla VIPI STG at room temperature.

For opening of the MUFLA VIPI STG just use the appropriate Allen key (flat tip), by inserting it into the lateral pins of the Muffle’s body.

For deflasking always use a rubber or plastic hammer.

External measurement: 12 cm x 12 cm

Internal measurement: 8 cm x 10 cm

Base Height: 24 mm

Counter Muffle Height: 30 mm

IMPORTANT ATTENTION: AFTER THE FINAL TIGHTENING, STILL UNDER PRESSING, PLACE THE SCREWS BY TIGHTENING ONLY A QUARTER (1/4) OF A TURN AFTER IT

LIES FLAT WITH THE WASHER.

POLYMERIZATION CYCLE THROUGH MICROWAVE POWER
Indicated for VIPI WAVE STG Resin.

The cycles vary in accordance with the Powers of the kilns:

MICROWAVE POLYMERIZATION CYCLE
Indicated for VIPI WAVE and STG SYSTEM resins.

a) The polymerization cycles may change with the oven Potency.

b) For 900W ovens with Potency-regulation the following cycle may be used:
• 10 minutes at 30% of Potency
• 10 minutes at 40% of Potency

This cycle is recommended for silicone embedded prosthesis only.
Observation: The microwave technique may be used for soft relined prosthesis, too.

Warnings / Precautions:

Whenever the MUFLA VIPI STG is used, during pressings, pass a layer of petroleum jelly in paste on the borders of the Muffle, preventing the resin to stick on

the manufacturing material during the years. Thus giving a longer life to the equipment.
